I have been exclusively using DC fast charging for the Ioniq5 (2-year free charging) for the past 10 months and I plan to use EvGo DC fast charging for Ariya (1-year free charging). If I were to buy a home EVSE, I will buy wall box with Nissan reservation discount. Now that many of us are hopefully getting our Brand new Ariyas hopefully in the next week or two, which level 2 charger have you bought or decided to go with for home charging and why did you pick that particular one?

We still charge our Leaf with our “free” circa 2011 Blink charger as it continues to be trouble free. So we have no plans to upgrade our old charger and will continue use it for our new Ariya. When the day comes that our vintage Blink charger finally dies, it’s replacement will be quick and easy since it was originally wired utilizing a standard 50 amp rated receptacle.Way back when we bought our 2011 Leaf we had a Blink charger installed -- it was free as part of participating in some studies -- compared to today's chargers it was a great big thing that needed to be hooked up to the internet and all so it could spy on us and report back on our charging habits, but hey, it was FREE! Several years later after the studies were all done, we replaced it with another Blink, and by then we had a 2012 Leaf, too. Several years after that we bought a Siemens charger and a 2018 Leaf and gave the Blink charger and the 2011 Leaf to a friend. We might take advantage of the Wallbox discount, too.

Is the type 2 socket from a photo or review that is not based in North America? Other regions use type 2.Can someone who has a Wallbox charger or an Ariya in possession, clarify something for me? it appears the Wallbox has a type 1, J1772 connector on the end of the 25ft cable. When I look at the Ariya there is a type 2 socket with different pins. Does the WallBox or the Ariya come with an adapter to convert those two plugs to match?
