Which models have self-tilt side view mirrors?

I did a search but couldn't find anything. The owners manual says that "if equipped", the side view mirrors will tilt down when in reverse and come back up when in Drive. I followed the instructions on my Engage e-4orce but it doesn't seem to work.

Does Nissan spell out which Ariya models have that feature?

Only the Platinum trim has the feature. Not sure if other trims can be "upgraded" -- would be a nice feature!

I don’t have in my Evolve + trim. When I back up, I always look at my back view camera and the awesome 360 aerial view. Don’t think I ever need to look at my side view mirror in my Ariya.

I don't have the 360 view so I am paranoid about curbing my wheels while parallel parking. The tilting mirror is the only thing I miss about my BMW...

In Canada, my Evolve+ can do this - but I believe it’s only able to do one side at a time.

Yeah I really like the 360 view -- how did I ever manage without that great feature?...

Believe me, the 360 aerial view is far superior than anything else. Once you use it, i guarantee you will never go back to tilt side view mirror.

My fathers old 2010 Lexus had the tilt mirror when backing up. Worthless compared to 360 aerial view. How can anything compete with “360 degrees”?

Your Ariya has it. You need to cycle through different mirror views to get to the 360 aerial view.

That’s some confidence to guarantee the preference of someone you’ve never met, @Hank.

Oh, that’s too bad. It seems so minor so why exclude it? Silly Nissan!

Because I have used the tilt mirror, it is an ancient technology vs the 360 aerial view. It is why I am certain he would love the 360. Unfortunately, Nissan screwed the Engage and Venture owners of this wonderful technology by excluding it. So now, he’s stuck with rear view mirror only when backing up.

I have an Engage and the mirrors retract.

you're spoiled. now I think I forget how to back out. some work requires us to back in when park, takes too long for me, I'll pass.

Hahaha Yes I'm spoiled!!! 😆 But only when I drive my Ariya. Every once in a while I'll drive my Mom's little Prius C -- no back up view, no nothing, and I have to be craning my neck like a student on the drive test. But Mom likes riding in my Ariya!

He was asking about the tilt down feature when in reverse. I think all mirrors fold in.

How do you beat 360 aerial view? I get PERFECT parking every time.

Depending on the situation, I get to see how close my wheels hit the curb on my left and right. This is very valuable feature when parking in tight space. Never should anyone get curb rash on their wheels

I also love the skyscraper effect when I pull into the garage and the door opening looks like a skyscraper next to the car.

That skyscraper on my left was a white MY.

I bet he will be checking out my car once he leaves the gym... 😉

Oh I didn't notice the cool skyscraper effect! I'll have to watch for that next time!
