So I just got my Ariya and noticed that the Nissan Connect comes with a 1 year license and after that you need to pay for the maps and remote control... So what is the pricing after one year? Haven't found any info about this and the app doesn't show as I already have the active license. I live in Finland, so might be different from US.

There is a lengthy conversation labeled “Paying $12.99 mthly for MyNissan”. Try reading some of that.
I declined the opportunity to continue the MyNissan service. Its reliability and limited functionality drove me to my decision. If those things improv, I would reconsider but not in any hurry.

I let mine extra services expire to see what was missing. I wanted to keep just the SOS which is Nissans version of GMs OnStar. I tried to compare cost just for GM and I think GM charges a lot more for the equivalent services. Fortunately I have never had an event that required that service and I considered trying a dash cam with recorded video and emergency contact but this morning I surrendered and renewed the service.
My scheduled heat and defrost was still working without Nissanconnect but I think my lane keeping was gone. So I'm back on premium and still not sure I did the right thing. I did try on line and on the phone to find out what fails without the protection payment and then tried driving without it. I still don't know what I bought but I think it cost about $149 a year.

PS: I thought the platinum + included everything for five years. The Nissan Connect rep I had on the phone said it's just lock and unlock after 6 months. My app shut down and I didn't even have lock and unlock.

Some of the features expire after 6 months without payment. You can see what you get for each package, and the timeframes here:
NissanConnect Pricing & Vehicle Compatibility | Nissan USA

Select your trim at the top (one of the two big boxes), then scroll down.
For the Platinum+, the Premium, Security, and Convenience packages are only free for 6 months. Select you get for 5 years. You can open up each section to see what the various features included in the package are.

They auto renewed my service for Feb. I forgot to cancel the auto renew before the promotion expiration. ( It was only 2 days after the auto renewal). I asked for a refund but was denied. At this point, I was already annoyed being on the phone lot longer than I needed just to cancel my service.

These types of services are what Biden calls “ junk fees”. We paid for the Ariya. Why should we pay additional subscriptions for something we own outright? It’s like buying a TV. Your TV remote is only good for one year of service. After one year, you have to pay a subscription to use your remote control for your TV. Geesh!
Ok, so it’s only been a few days since my Nissan Connect was officially canceled. Guess what? I received an email a couple days ago asking me to resubscribe for 3 months at 50% off.

Hey, Nissan. Why play games? Just give us 50% pricing for the life of our ownership. Perhaps the retention rate would be closer to 85% when the price is 50% less than it would be at $14.99 a month

Hank, what Connect functionality have you lost now that you're out of subscription? I still can't tell if it's going to be worth it to me to pay or not once the trial expires.

Because I don’t use it that much, I really don’t know. For certain, I’ve lost the ability to track my Ariya location with my app.

just now while in my room, I reached for my Pixel (currently typing on my iPad). I’ve lost the ability to turn on my headlights (whoopeedo) and getting alerts BUT I still have the ability to control my HVAC with the app (that’s more important for me).

Net net, it doesn’t pay to subscribe if we still have the ability to control the HVAC with the app..

When my free time ended I noticed that you couldn't see the tire pressure (but can scroll to that in the driver display anyway). The app doesn't really offer anything that I'm willing to pay for right now.

All I really use the app for is monitoring the battery status and GoM. Hopefully I can still do that when it expires.

I don’t generally need the location of the car, I’m usually pretty good at remembering where I parked it!

I’ve only used the location tracker once.

i think this feature is only good if your Ariya gets stolen. However, an Apple AirTag can do the same without subscription

Yes, that feature is convenient and so far has remained even though my free time is done. That way I can monitor it from the comfort of my sofa when I'm charging it in the garage 😆

To answer your question, yes the app still monitors your battery charging status and GOM.

I'm currently slow charging at CP while at the gym...
My Ariya is currently valeted with a hotel. It's fun to spy on where they park the cars. I turned on the Valet mode in the app, it hasn't triggered yet. :)

Thanks! I'd seen the official chart a few times, and had not wanted to spend the mental energy to really digest it.

I have a problem with the application and I don't know if you have the same problem. I can't start or finish charging from the app, it always says that an error has occurred.
If I connect it manually it charges, if I disconnect it the charging ends, but I can't do it from the app.

?

Mine seems to work. I have to use it if I want to use a level 2 charger during the time I have it scheduled not to charge. I don't think I've seen it say an error occurred.

I suppose it's possible, but I don't know. I'd kind of expect it to just charge any time it's plugged in, if there's no schedule. But it sounds like a bug in any case.
Now my wife Just arrive and plugged to start recharging the car at her work place (it's 7.30 in Spain) , and we cannot finish the recharge from the app when we want. She has to go back to the garage when it is 80% to unplug to finish the recharge. I press the charging button in the app and it doesn't do anything.

It is not a big issue, but its annoying.

(sorry for my english)
