Don't need to waste $300 for a feature we don't use. In California, would probably use it a few days out of the year. Tesla's heatpump works well in our cold 55 degree winter climate. I would probably spend some money if Nissan sold an improved navigation for the Ariya. Not expecting it so we use google maps on our cellphones.

Wasn't complaining about spending $300 but I get occasionally get emails from Tesla to purchase on my car. Just like some people are getting notified their cars have bigger batteries and they can purchase additional range it for a few thousand dollars. Not a bad deal if range anxiety affects you. Enjoy your Ariya.

I do enjoy my Ariya, but I don't think it should be legal to sell significant equipment to someone with subscription-locked features. Especially if it adds weight, complexity, dependencies, etc.
