you definitely did the right thing. The fact that it came with blue interior is an easy decision to walk away regardless what the exterior paint color is. Having blue interior equates to being moody while sitting inside and driving. What was Nissan thinking? How many blue interiors are there in the automotive world? None besides Ariya? Does Nissan want us to puke inside our Ariya?

My first choice while at the 2021 LA Auto Show was Deep Ocean Blue Evolve + with light gray interior. I liked it enough to place my order right there on the spot. However, after seeing my neighbor’s brand new 2022 White Model Y with white interior in Feb 2022, I decided to change my order to White Pearl exterior with light gray interior. The White/Black exterior and light gray interior looks so smoking HOT.

Since this is my first rodeo as an EV buyer, I did not want to splurge knowing there will be many more EVs down the road to choose from. $50K was my budget, with or without the $7500 tax savings.

Overall, i strongly believe the Nissan Ariya is a great value for the technology we get for $50K. The fact that Nissan has 12 years of electrification was an easy decision to place my purchase.
FYI -Fisker Ocean does offer a blue interior as well. However where Fisker Ocean trims vs Ariya Platinum + differ is the blue interior is an option - not the only choice.

Ariya Accessories

I think I want to add aftermarket PIAA fog lights on my Ariya if they have available. It's greenish yellow fog lamps when turned on.

BTW, I notice at that link that the hitch is only available for AWD. Not sure why that would be since it wouldn't matter for a bike rack. I imagine there will be aftermarket options at some point though.

I had the "Exterior Ground Lighting W/ Logo And Rear Illumination" kit installed yesterday at the Nissan dealership. Their EV master tech handled the install.
This is the result on a Northern Lights Premiere with photos taken at dusk:

Looks great! Can also see the illuminated kick plate in one of the photos! How long did it take for them to install?

Thanks mate.
That plus a "Dual Camera drive recorder" install, took about 7 hours total.
The dealership quoted me a fixed fee for the install, (I assume) knowing it would take longer than normal as a first-time learning experience for their EV tech.

Great idea to get a dash cam too. Is it pretty non-obtrusive? There seem to be lots of clunky big cams, not so many of the small less noticeable ones.

How do you like the dash cam? Does it include GPS tracking?

The Garmin Dash Cam Mini II is tiny and affordable.

It's decent and does the job. Other dashcams offer higher rez and more features. I chose this one specifically for the seamless integration into the Ariya's power plane via the D-Opt Connector.
It doesn't support GPS but can link up to a WiFi network (e.g. when parked in home garage) or a mobile hotspot. The typical use case is a direct connect via WiFi with your phone to download the video recordings.

I plan to test out a scenario with it connected to the Ariya's in-car WiFi to AT&T cellular uplink during the 3 month trial period. Will be interesting to see if I can access the camera's live-feed remotely when away from the car. :)
