2024 Engage FWD small Battery. I updated my software last night. Head unit still required USB Cable to use Android Auto. Tried deleting, rebooting phone & head unit. No wireless AA.
Tonight I went to get some dinner, got in the car and the head unit message popped up. Something like You need to disconnect from WiFi to enable Android Auto. I tapped yes and BAMM! AA is working perfectly without a cable. 🥳

Lets see, First we had DIN Radios, than Double DIN Radios. Then they started to do more than just radio'ing... So they started calling them Head Units... I guess the manual calls it a "screen"... does more than just NAV 🤷‍♂️

So you didn't do a manual download. You saw the notification when you turned on your car?

I looked for the update, it immediately went to installing update. No download. That's why I think it was already downloaded. Or it could of been an extremely small download.

It could just be your vehicle requires another update either hardware or software before you receive the WAA.

I haven’t received it yet, plain engage model, but since i use ios CarPlay its not an issue.
